Tuesday, March 2: Santa Fe NM to Oklahoma City OK

Well, the snow stopped falling and we had to leave Santa Fe. We covered a lot of territory - across New Mexico, a bit of Texas and half of Oklahoma. It was a beautiful day and the long ride wasn't bad at all.   Besides, the Texas panhandle has so much to offer - stunning works of art, such as the Cadillac Ranch ....

Tonight we're staying in Oklahoma City - known as the state capitol, an important livestock market, headquarters for several oil companies, a major stop on Route 66, and site of the bombing of the federal office building - a home-grown terrorist's act that took 168 lives.
